Janet Batchelor is a proud native Texan who lives in the country with her husband, Tom, two toy Australian Shepherds, and an ornery feral cat. Between them, she and Tom have six children, eleven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. She has published human interest and travel articles in local, regional, and national magazines.

Janet’s Texas accent, and tendency to talk to animals, turned a conversation with a critter on her porch from a lizard into a tiny “owligator.” It sounded funny, and they both come from eggs. If you use your imagination, it could happen. The saga of Al and the Owligator was born.
